WHAT IS STATIC BALANCING AND WHY IS IT NECESSARY?
When performing static balancing of rotors or propellers, they need to be removed from the aircraft and be stationary/static. The need for static balancing can be the cause of many factors. If a pilot notices vibrations while an aircraft is running, balancing may be required. And if the vibration is caused by the center of gravity not properly being on the axis of rotation, static balancing is the right choice to correct the issue. It is important to statically balance the blades using Marvel arbors in order to eliminate the vibration and prevent unnecessary wear on the aircraft and potential future maintenance costs.

Not exactly, but our arbors can be used for multiple applications by changing the balancing adapters. There are two main types of adapters, Thru-Shaft Mounting and Under Slung Mounting. If you aren’t sure which you will need for your aircraft, we are here to help.
Our balancing arbor feature an extremely high degree of sensitivity and accuracy. It’s design virtually eliminates internal wear surfaces and internal friction resistance. Because of this, there is no requirement for replacing worn parts. Therefore, only routine calibrations and inspections are necessary.
